There's an abandoned part of the city that Kaworu is fond of. Well, all parts of Tokyo-3 were abandoned, really. That's just what happens when the entire human race defaults back to a primordial soup type substance.
But he likes this particular block, in no small part than because it has a useful pharmacy right underneath a useful clinic. Of course there are no pharmacists, no nurses and no doctor, but this doesn't trouble him any. Kaworu knows how to take care of himself with the resources offered to him.
But at the moment, he needs to take care of someone else. He's led Miharu all the way from the beach and now it's time to look at that shoulder. All he really needs is the pharmacy, today.
"Sorry it's messy," Kaworu says, as he leads the way in. "That's kinda what happens after the apocalypse."
Heh.

Kaworu not only lets himself sound puzzled but worried as well. He puts the bottle he'd taken ahold of back on the shelf; it falls on its side and spins a little in place, the contents thankfully not spilling out. He's not paying attention to it, anyway.
"And don't say it's nothing. I know better than that."
no subject
That's a lie. He does.
no subject
Somewhere, anywhere.
no subject
He is not excited about any of this. Kaworu was supposed to let him be stupid.

He places a hand on the backing of Miharu's adopted chair, leaning in a little from the front. "Okay," he says, "Now tell me."
He smiles. "Remember that I'm the one that will be fixing you."
Fft.

As Miharu never really learns, he attempts to push Kaworu away again, just as he had done before. It is less likely to cause bodily harm, this time...?
no subject
And he just stays right there.
no subject
"Leave me alone," he says, and slouches down in the chair.
Sigh.
no subject
He shrugs and grabs that pill bottle from before. "I'll fix you once this kicks in," he says, and hands over water and medicine.
no subject
These tactics are working quite well on him, it seems!

"Are you attempting to prove that I am not a wild horse?"
Wild horses can't drag it out of me~!
no subject
Or Adam.
no subject
That is enough to stop Kaworu in his tracks, and it does so.
"I can't seem to grasp what you're asking."
Or perhaps he doesn't want to.
no subject
But I still do not like that you did that." Miharu turns the pills around a few times on his hand, before giving up and taking them. Let us hope it is not actually poison, heh.
"So I want you to tell me something secret to make up for it. If you can do that, I will accept everything as 'alright'."
This is an unfair demand, but Kaworu's actions had been just as unfair. This is the time to make up for it, now.
no subject
"Anything?"
His voice is resigned.
no subject
As long as it wasn't a lie.
no subject
That just doesn't happen, okay?
He'd been pacing the room a little, but he stops now. He goes back to Miharu's chair with his tail between his legs. Trying to even think over this sort of thing isn't very pleasant. And it's at least five different shades of humbling in many occasions.
"I'm disappointed that Gendo Ikari died when he did," Kaworu says. "Because that meant I did not have a chance to do it myself. I was born in a vacuum, an utter lack of air or heat or cold. I am one of the prototypes for the human race. I would destroy the world if Rei asked me to, and I would enjoy it, because it was for her - "
Such and such. Tastes of various things, though he is stumbling over himself now. And:
" - I did not learn about emotions until months ago - "
More, more...
" - I did not tell Yoite I had found you, not just for safety, but - "
But... but...
" - you would have left - "
...

"Stop, stop-" Miharu insists. He grabs ahold of Kaworu's sleeve, insistently pulling on it. "Come here-"
He has, in fact, succeeded in prompting a situation that shook him more than he would admit.
no subject
He would.

He does not know how to prove his sincerity. He does not. Of course Miharu could use his one idea, what he has buried for a very long time now. That which he has not stopped thinking about ever since he met with Kaworu again, not even an hour earlier.
He holds on tighter to Kaworu's shirt and pulls again. It does not take very long at all for him to act.
"I am sorry, angel... You have done more than enough."
Miharu smiles weakly, the expression not reaching his eyes nor tone.

if nothing else they each made the other feel bad with some sort of action. Even now, yeah?
"You're manhandling me around." Why? and he raises an eyebrow.
no subject
Really now.
no subject
Ooooh, challenge!
no subject
The confessions... the truth... honestly, likely allowing himself to be punched...
Ideas are forming in Miharu's head, soon he will make something of them.
no subject
And perhaps a raised eyebrow, as well. Kaworu really doesn't have anything to go on, here.
no subject
Miharu kisses him.
Perhaps it seems mild compared to all the other things they have gone through with each other, towards each other or apart. It is the first time he has done that to anyone, really; all the neuroses involved has prevented him before. Therefore it is a higher compliment than it may seem.
For once, Miharu feels entirely confident in dealing it.
no subject
Thankfully, Kaworu is not prone to that sort of thing. It doesn't matter, to him, whether or not he has been kissed before. Somehow the experience makes him feel novice all over again, which is... not an unwelcome feeling.
Maybe this is an effect of the painkiller (and if so, Kaworu can convince him it was a hallucination) or maybe Miharu actually meant it. He doesn't know yet. All he knows is what he does, and in that, Kaworu can only concentrate on the act. He kisses Miharu himself, when the first kiss is over, just to make sure he stays there.
no subject
whatever it is.
"What does this mean?" he finds himself asking, when he has the chance. Miharu may have been the one to start it, but he has absolutely no clue what 'it' is.

How incredibly normal.
